What is free cooling?
At low outdoor temperatures the dry cooler chills the water almost without the compressor. The chiller stays off and the electricity used for cooling drops sharply.
What is the EER?
The EER (energy efficiency ratio) states how much cooling is produced per kilowatt-hour of electricity. It is computed from cooling output and electrical input — it is not a native measurement.
Can the refrigeration waste heat be used?
Yes. The condenser gives off heat continuously. Instead of rejecting it, it can preheat domestic hot water.
