What does presence-controlled lighting achieve in a hotel?

Corridors, storage areas and empty rooms otherwise draw power continuously. Presence control switches only when someone is there and removes the invisible base load.

Can LED drivers report their own consumption?

Yes — with DALI D4i (part 252) or a KNX metering actuator, power and energy become measurable per channel. DALI-2 on its own does not guarantee it.

How do guest rooms become part of load management?

Occupancy, presence and window contacts let HVAC and lighting run exactly when needed — and be backed off deliberately during peak periods.
