Stromfee.AI · Computational Battery Engineering

The independent service layer for battery storage.

We read your BESS directly via Modbus TCP — and optimise, verify and monitor it. Independent of the manufacturer. Independent of the marketer. The service that unites all three doesn't yet exist for mid-market operators in the US.

Three pillars, one data source

One Modbus link. Three levers on your revenue.

Once we read your storage system directly, three services emerge that today are split across three different providers — if they exist at all.

01 — OPTIMIZE

Optimise

Dispatch optimisation across day-ahead, intraday, FCR and aFRR — physically feasible, computed with real state-of-charge and efficiency.

  • Perfect-foresight schedule as the target line
  • EMS registers written live (40011–40109)
  • Gemma daily report, LEAP-71 checked
02 — VERIFY

Verify

Did your marketer actually deliver? We measure the capture rate — realised revenue ÷ achievable revenue — per asset, per month.

  • Real dispatch straight from the battery (Modbus)
  • Computed against an independent benchmark line
  • Reconciled with your marketer's statement
03 — SERVICE

Monitor

Performance, degradation and fault monitoring of the hardware — across manufacturers. The gap OEM warranties leave open.

  • Live telemetry of all registers
  • Early warning on drift / underperformance
  • One point of contact for every manufacturer
Why it doesn't exist as one service yet

The parts exist: market benchmarks, OEM service, monitoring tools. United on one data source — independent of both manufacturer and marketer, for mid-market batteries — we haven't found a single provider.

OEMs only service what they sold themselves — warranty-driven and often monetisation-limiting. Market indices like the ISEA Battery Revenue Index (RWTH/Enspired, free) model the potential of the overall market — not what your asset actually settled. Utility-scale O&M is generic and not tailored to the mid-market. We unite optimisation, verification and monitoring on one Modbus connection.

OEM service locks in & expires

Manufacturers only service their own hardware, warranty-driven. When contracts expire, the independent successor that covers the whole stack is missing.

Benchmark ≠ your asset

Market indices show the modelled market potential. How much your asset actually earned is only revealed by reconciling real revenue against the achievable ceiling — per asset.

Monitoring gap

Standard BMS see the pack, not cell-level degradation. Performance after years stays blind — without independent monitoring.

How it works

From the terminal to the truth.

STEP 01

Read

We connect via Modbus TCP or API directly to your inverter/PLC — the real 15-minute dispatch, independent of the marketer.

STEP 02

Compute

Our engine determines the achievable revenue (perfect foresight) and values your real dispatch at the same market prices.

STEP 03

Show

You see the capture rate per month — and in euros what was left on the table. Plus live hardware health.

Not a slide — a running asset

The live demo: 10 MW / 20 MWh, connected via Modbus.

What sounds abstract is already running — a digital twin across all Modbus subsystems, with a real market radar, dispatch optimisation and a LEAP-71-checked daily report. The glass-box tour BESS Inside unfolds it step by step, from the market down to the battery register.

Market radar (MaStR)

Every BESS ≥ 1 MW in Germany, by state — the acquisition base.

Day-ahead + schedule

Charge/discharge schedule against the day-ahead curve, physically feasible.

Gemma daily report

Automated daily report, LEAP-71 checked — no embellished numbers.

EMS registers live

Strategy written straight to the real EMS registers 40011–40109.

Causal chains (P&ID)

From trigger to damage — every step linked to a real Modbus register.

Live telemetry

All registers of every device class, live — the asset's digital twin.

Proof run 24 May · 10 MW / 20 MWh
Charging 11:00–13:00 at avg −68.84 €/MWh (negative price → paid to charge), discharging 18:00–20:00 at avg 152.12 €/MWh.
Real spread 220.96 €/MWh · daily revenue €4,175.81 — schedule on the real strategy registers 40011–40109.
From real operation

No model. A real asset.

42 %

A real 1.5 MW storage asset in northern Germany captured roughly 42 % of its achievable revenue in one billing month. The rest is not fate — it is measurable, and therefore negotiable.

Today from the asset's strategy report; recomputed manufacturer-independently via the Modbus readout. Achievable line validated against a market reference (Suena). No extrapolation.

Who · Independence · Questions

Independent. Evidenced. No tie to manufacturer or marketer.

Mid-market operators

Commercial and smaller grid-scale storage that direct-markets and wants to know whether its marketer really delivers.

Investors & lenders

Who need one neutral, recomputable revenue and condition figure for their assets.

Multi-vendor portfolios

One point of contact across Huawei, FENECON, Sungrow & co. — manufacturer-agnostic.

How do you get my asset data?
Via Modbus TCP or API directly from the inverter/PLC — as the operator's entitlement, independent of the direct marketer. We have already obtained and interpreted the reference protocol.
Are you tied to a manufacturer or marketer?
No — that's the whole point. We read the asset ourselves and compute against an independent benchmark. Neither OEM nor marketer determines the result.
Do you also support certification?
Yes. From EMS integration through §51/§13a forensics to proof per VDE-AR-N 2510-50 / FGW TR8.
What does it cost?
Per asset and month, tiered by power. We define the exact scope in the free intro call — based on your asset and your marketer contract.
