ℹ️ About the Metrics
Voltage Quality

Calculated as 100 minus CPQI×5. Higher is better. Excellent ≥90%, Good ≥75%, Fair ≥50%, Poor <50%.

CPQI (Consumer Power Quality Index)

Measures percentage of homes experiencing voltage irregularities. Lower is better. Values above 5% indicate significant issues.

Grid Frequency

US grid operates at 60 Hz. Deviations ±0.02 Hz are normal. Below 59.85 Hz indicates emergency conditions requiring load shedding.

Interconnections

US has 3 main grids: Eastern (28 states), Western (11 states), and ERCOT (Texas only). Each operates independently with own frequency.
